Girls in Beauty Department of Glamour Magazine Rave about La La Anthony & Motives by Loren Ridinger

La La Anthony Launches Makeup Line, Continues to Be Completely Flawless

La La Anthony is one of those women whose skin just glows, as if she is some magical angel of shimmer. Plus, the woman wears color like a boss. Luckily La La is teaming up with Motives by Loren Ridinger for a mineral-based makeup line, so maybe some of us whose skin isn’t quite as naturally radiant can capture a bit of her essence.

0130_lala-vasquez.jpg The gorgeous former MTV VJ (remember her on TRL back in the day?) and star of VH1's La La’s Full Court Life noticed a void in the beauty market in catering toward African-American and Latina women, so she made it a point to create products for every skin tone. According to La La, “Every girl always tries to find that perfect color or shade that suits their personality, and now she can do it easily and affordably.” Motives for La La will launch on February 2nd at the Market World Conference in Miami, but we have a sneak peek of the products, right here!

0112-la-la-anthony-gold-eye-shadow-lindy-bd.jpgThe color palette features eight hyper-flattering powder blushes and ten highly-pigmented eye shadows. The shimmery shadows range from pale beige to jet black, and they are super silky and pretty on. Ladies who love to play with color—consider this palette your sandbox. My personal favorite color is the gold (see right), which is an unexpected shade that will flatter pretty much any skin tone. The lipsticks are great too—the nude would be perfect with a smoky eye for a night out, and the red has a bit of a sheen that keeps it fresh and modern.

LaLa’s lip shines may single-handedly make me fall back in love with lip gloss again, between their rich colors and brush-style applicators (am I the only one obsessed with these? They’re so much more fun to apply!). Bonus: the formula is paraben-free!

Are you as jealous of LaLa’s flawless beauty as we are?

[New Post] DIY Mineral Bath

bath
Mineral baths are great way to get a relaxing, health-enhancing, stress dissolving soak. Warm spring therapy is a pleasant treatment for muscular skeletal problems, as well as for high blood pressure and eczema.

In addition, science has promoted that soaking in a warm mineral spring can lessen arthritis pain, and soothe discomfort associated with Fibromyalgia.

If you don’t live close to a warm mineral spring or just prefer to bathe at home mineral bath salts are easy and inexpensive to make.

A mix of Epsom and sea salt can be used with borax, baking soda, sesame oil, and essential oils to create your own personal soak. Save in a glass jar and use about 2tbsp of this mixture to dissolve in hot bath.

1 1/2 cups sea salt
1 1/2 cups sea salt
1 cup Epsom salts
1 1/2 cups borax
1 1/2 cups baking soda
1 cup sesame oil
100 drops, total, essential oils
